DELAC leaders review parent outreach, multilingual supports and request continued board backing

DELAC leaders said representation rose substantially (from 19 to 63 representatives in 2025–26) and described parent-facing activities such as Cafe de Padres (open-parent discussions) and in-person trainings. They requested the board’s continued support for parent engagement, translation, training videos and school-site supports for volunteers.
Board members praised the increase in participation and asked staff to return with specific ways the board and district can support parent engagement; trustees asked for materials and page references in the LCAP binder showing school-level line items.
