Friends of Liberty Lake announce June book sale and July summer soiree

A representative of the Friends of Liberty Lake told the board the group's two largest fundraisers are scheduled for summer: the annual book sale will have setup June 18 and the sale June 19–20 in the library meeting room (library closed for Juneteenth on June 19), and the Friends’ summer soiree is set for Wednesday, July 15 at the Liberty Lake winery with tickets priced at about $35.
"The sale itself is at the library on the 19th," the Friends representative said, and added that donated rare books may be sold via email contact for higher-value items. The soiree will include live music, yard games, a silent auction and a photo booth, and typically sells out, the representative said.
Director Jandy noted the library's parking lot is being repaved and asked organizers to account for access; the representative confirmed setup timing and encouraged board members to buy tickets online at libertylakefriends.org.
The board did not take a formal vote on Friends activities; this was an informational announcement so members could plan volunteer support and publicity.
