Scott County board adopts amended Head Start FY2026 budget and approves FY2027 projection

Mrs. Patricia Edwards moved to approve the amended Head Start 2025–26 budget (Appendix B); Vice Chair Steve Sallee seconded and the motion carried with all voting members recorded as voting aye. Later on the same agenda, Mr. Bill Houseright moved to approve the Head Start 2026–27 budget (Appendix C); Mr. Rob Hood seconded and the motion also carried with all voting members recorded as voting aye.
The appended Head Start budget documents included in the record show total FY2026 revenues of $2,405,973 and a projected FY2027 total revenue of $2,340,165. The FY2026 appendix lists detailed line items for personnel, fringe benefits, supplies, contractual services and other program costs (see SEG 021–SEG 023). The FY2027 projected appendix contains similar line items and a projected balanced budget (SEG 024–SEG 026).
The minutes record no public comment at the special meeting and do not list additional conditions on the budget approvals. The board adjourned at 4:06 p.m.
