Fluvanna supervisors adopt VDOT secondary six‑year plan and 2026 construction priority list

Willie Gordon of the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Louisa Residency presented the VDOT Secondary Six-Year Plan for 2026/27 through 2031/32 and the VDOT construction priority list for 2026/27 at the board’s May 20 meeting. Chair Anthony O’Brien opened a public hearing at 7:16 p.m.; no members of the public spoke.
The board moved to accept the resolution to adopt the Secondary Six-Year Plan and the Construction Priority List as required by sections 33.1-23 and 33.1-23.4 of the 1950 Code of Virginia. The motion carried unanimously, 5-0. The resolution states the Board participated in the preparation of the plan and that the plan is in the best interest of the county’s secondary road system and residents.
The resolution (No. 18-2026) was recorded in the meeting materials and will be forwarded to VDOT as the county’s formal endorsement of the six-year secondary road plan.
