"That will help us to see who's super loaded with duties and whether we need to hire additional help or reassign tasks," one council member said.
On planning, the council reviewed a concept for a north-side Community Commons (intentionally using the term "commons" rather than "park") and a landscape architect's proposal to provide a conceptual drawing for roughly $2,100. Members favored a modest, drought‑tolerant design (pavilion, benches, minimal lawn), discussed fundraising and possible grant matches (staff referenced a past youth grant of $10,000 and an example 30% match in Sanpete), and proposed forming a small committee to guide design and fundraising.
Councilors agreed to bring cost details and the conceptual drawing back to the next council meeting for further review and to consider outreach or a community survey to gather resident input.
