Commissioners approved several purchase requests and a Municipal Building Authority purchase recommendation during the July 15 session.
The county approved a purchase order to Salt Lake Valley Auto Group for $14,780 to repair or replace the frame on a 2021 Dodge 3500 plow truck (itemized as $8,800 labor and $5,480 for the replacement frame). Commissioners discussed whether insurance would cover the repair if a new frame is installed and approved the purchase request by motion and second.
The commission also approved an IT sole-source subscription with BeyondTrust for privileged remote access at $5,941.51; staff said the subscription is budgeted and that several third parties (title companies and dealerships) use similar access and fees offset costs.
A sole-source purchase for the weed department from Warren Chemical for $14,682.71 was approved for a substantial list of chemicals used by the department.
Separately, during the Municipal Building Authority meeting the MBA approved a purchase request to CNH Skyway Construction for 800 yards of road base and delivery totaling $56,504 for the Daggett County Health & Business Community Center. MBA members conditioned payment on receiving truck load tickets before issuing funds; staff said checks will not be released until required load documentation is provided.
All motions were passed by voice vote. Commissioners noted standard procurement documentation and controls for conditional payments.
