Board weighs historic-style signage for Riverside’s trolley shelters

Manager Jessica Francis and Director Siren presented proposed interpretive signage for two surviving Tunerville Trolley shelters, including a narrative, photographs and a map of the historic line. Staff described options such as a picture, map and narrative panel plus choices for branding: the village logo, laser-engraved wood or a bronze plaque. Trustee comments favored a laser-engraved wood sign or a sign matching the Riverside train-station 'Riverside' sign for a vintage, durable appearance.
Trustees asked staff to consult the museum about the proposed trolley map (questions about numbered photo locations) and to produce markups for wood etching and a lower-cost aluminum option for comparison. Staff said they will return with sign markups and clarification on the map, and proceed with renovations and signage once the board provides final guidance.
