Walworth County supervisors on Feb. 10 approved releasing $50,000 from the county's America's 250th Anniversary appropriation and confirmed several committee and board appointments.
On a motion by Supervisor Brian Holt seconded by Supervisor Joanne Laufenberg, the board removed an administrative hold on $50,000 of the 250th-Anniversary appropriation and authorized staff to execute expenditures when individual expenditures exceed $100 upon recommendation of the America's 250th Anniversary Celebrations Committee.
The board also approved appointments to the America's 250th Anniversary Celebrations Committee (Pat Blackmer and John Scholtz, and Supervisor Ken Monroe) and confirmed Linda Christian for a three-year term on the Aram Public Library Board of Trustees to Feb. 9, 2029. The appointments were approved by voice vote on a motion by Supervisor Brian Holt and second by Supervisor Susan M. Pruessing.
The minutes note that appointments take effect upon submission of the committee chair's written notification to the County Clerk's Office as required by Resolution No. 61-12/25. Department staff will implement the releases and notify appointees as required by county procedure.
