Finance Committee backs 2.2% COLA for FY 2026–27 and requests further budget review

The Hidden Valley Lake Finance Committee recommended a 2.2% cost-of-living adjustment for fiscal 2026–27 and asked staff for a second draft budget review in May and a Board budget workshop before the June 17 Board meeting.
The Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District Finance Committee on April 8, 2026, recommended that the Board adopt a 2.2% cost-of-living adjustment for Fiscal Year 2026–27, with the adjustment effective July 1, 2026. Staff presented the proposed COLA during the Committee’s draft-budget review and described the projected budget impacts.
During the same session staff presented the Draft Budget for FY 2026–27, including revenue and expenditure assumptions, projected fund balances and key capital and operational considerations. The Committee requested a second review of revisions at the May Committee meeting and asked staff to schedule a Board Budget Workshop before the Board’s June 17, 2026, Regular Meeting to allow additional Board-level review before adoption.
The Committee also reviewed the District’s monthly financial reports and received a projects update from Project Manager Hannah Davidson. No public comments were recorded. Director Jim Freeman moved to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting at 1:45 p.m.; Director Gary Graves seconded and the motion carried.
