Council reviewed estimates from B & M Electric, LLC (material and labor to install a 400-amp Meter/Panel Combo for $4,700; electrician labor to run wire and install five power pedestals for $3,500) and a separate excavation/backfill bid estimate of $3,500. Stanworth Construction will perform excavation and the town will pay Stanworth directly; Council Member Skip Taylor noted the excavation cost may vary depending on tree roots. The council also reviewed a material supply list from Central Electric Supply for conduit, wire and power pedestals.
Council Member Kristi Townsend moved to accept the bid estimates from B & M Electric, LLC; Council Member Chris Mork seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The council discussed starting the electrical projects at the end of this fiscal year and completing them in the next fiscal year to align payments and construction timing.
