Manor Township Zoning Board grants six-month extension for Strosser Designs project

The Manor Township Zoning Hearing Board on April 1 approved a six-month extension to the board decision issued Feb. 5, 2025 for a property at 161 Ridgewood Court, allowing the applicant additional time to obtain required permits.
Zoning Officer Nate Taggart, sworn for the item, told the board the applicant had not begun the work because of a family issue. Township Solicitor Susan Peipher cited Section 425-122K of the Manor Township Zoning Ordinance, which the solicitor said requires an applicant to pull permits within six months of approval and to complete authorized work within 12 months; failure to comply, she said, leads to automatic rescission of the board's authorization. Peipher recommended a short, final extension.
Board member Jeff Klugh moved to grant a six-month extension beginning April 1, 2026; Vice Chairman Mike DeBerdine seconded the motion, which the board approved unanimously. According to the board, once the permit is pulled the applicant would have the 12 months allowed by the ordinance to finish the work. There was no public comment on the request.
The extension applies only to pulling the permit; the board characterized this as the last extension it would grant for that approval. No additional conditions or amendments to the original decision were recorded at the meeting.
