Dan Russell reported that volunteers held multiple work parties at Anchor Diamond Park, beginning April 18 and continuing into May, focused on removing invasive plants around historical foundations and exposing old foundations previously overgrown.
During the work, old scrap metal was uncovered and moved to the parking lot, where the Town Highway Department retrieved it. Saratoga PLAN volunteers cut and cleared two fully overgrown areas and later returned to build approximately 42 feet of new bog bridges and stabilize the Blue Trail. The committee thanked all volunteers and acknowledged BH Rotary participation on earlier work parties.
Town Historian Rick Reynolds led a history walk for committee members and their spouses on May 2. A memorial bench purchased in memory of a family matriarch for Kimberly Chamberlain will be placed May 27; Dan Russell will oversee placement.
