Committee approves forwarding acceptance of donated mobile mammography van funded by Salesforce

The Government Audit and Oversight Committee voted June 4 to forward a resolution accepting a capital gift of a mobile mammography van for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
Sabrina Robinson, chief operating officer at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, told the committee the gift includes a van valued at $1,500,000 and that a cash gift of approximately $1,660,000 from Salesforce, routed through the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, covers purchase and marketing/foundation fees. The presentation described the vehicle as replacing an out‑of‑service mobile unit and requested approval of a naming convention: "ZSFG Mammovan, Salesforce in partnership with ZSFG and the SFGHF, Healthy Community."
There was no public comment. Chair Supervisor Steven Sherrill moved to forward the resolution with a positive recommendation; Vice Chair Mahmood and Chair Sherrill recorded "aye" votes and the motion passed. The item will go to the full Board for final approval.
