City staff presented Resolution 2026‑69 to amend the Waterfront Park Capital Project Fund to account for change orders and city‑provided services. The original contract was budgeted at $2,019,084; change orders totaled $244,717 and additional city services — including utility relocation, parking signage, tree installation and furniture — increased the overall project cost to $2,684,389.
Staff told commissioners they expect required budget transfers to finish the project will not exceed $575,380, and much of the work is already documented in pay applications. The city will retain contract retainage until one‑year warranty obligations are satisfied, and separate tree warranties will also be enforced where applicable.
A motion to approve the budget transfers was moved and seconded and carried on a 5‑0 roll call vote. Commissioners thanked staff for the work and commented on the quality of the completed park.
No amendments to the resolution were requested at the meeting; supporting documentation and the project backups were included in the agenda packet for further detail.
