Chief Mora highlighted community outreach efforts and programs: a mobile clinic scheduled for June 15 and a summer nutrition program at the Pal Building beginning Monday. He described the nutrition program as including education on healthier choices and a curriculum where children will learn to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. Council members asked procedural questions (for example, how citizen contact differs from a 'pet check') and praised the department's increased community engagement.
