On March 13 bidders for jail food and medical services presented proposals; Consolidated Correctional Food Service, CBM Management and Hillcrest Nursing Home submitted food bids with varying price scales. Consolidated’s Option 1 (per-meal scale) was accepted on a three-year contract. Quality Urgent Care was the only medical-services bidder and was approved by motion of the board.
The board’s decision followed a formal bid opening and standard motion-and-roll-call approval. No procedural objections were recorded in the minutes. The board instructed the sheriff’s office and county administration to implement contract terms and to coordinate meal pickup or delivery logistics with the selected vendors.
Board records show the food bids included per-inmate per-meal pricing and several options (flat-rate and equipment allowances); the medical bid was not contested. The full bid sheets and contract documents are filed in the County Clerk’s office.
