The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) requested a municipal certification letter from the Conservation Commission for the Little River Farm conservation restriction. Nick (DNRT) said the municipal certification is not required by the state but is DNRT’s practice to document conservation benefits locally before Select Board or town‑meeting action.
Commissioners expressed support for the conservation values described (open space, floodplain protection, climate resiliency and water quality) and asked staff to provide the municipal certification letter for the chair’s signature. The chair agreed to sign the municipal certification/endorsement letter if the commission’s sentiment remained favorable; Eduardo will provide the document for signature.
Next steps: DNRT will take the municipal certification letter to the Select Board; commissioners indicated broad support and the chair said he would sign the letter and leave it in the office for pickup.
