Local soccer club files permits for well and irrigation system at Charlestown fields

The Phoenixville Area Soccer Club (PASC) notified Charlestown Township officials that on March 16, 2026 it submitted a Zoning Permit, Erosion and Sedimentation Permit, and an Electrical Permit to the township zoning coordinator, Beth Martin, to install a new well and comprehensive irrigation system serving the township soccer fields.
According to the report provided to the Parks & Recreation Board, the well will be located downslope from the Snack Shack in a mowed lawn area that is not used for play. All irrigation controls and well controls will be housed inside the Snack Shack building. The club said it has three contractors lined up to perform the work after permit review and approval.
The township returned initial feedback on the electrical permit and asked PASC to supply additional information before that permit can be finalized. No construction start date was announced at the meeting.
Board members received the update as part of routine youth sports reports; no formal vote or funding request was recorded.
