Charlestown Parks & Recreation chair resigns; Stephanie Robinson named acting chair

Scott Ammerman resigned his position as chair of the Charlestown Township Parks & Recreation Board at the March 19, 2026 meeting, and the board voted to appoint member Stephanie Robinson as Acting Chair until the township formally appoints a replacement.
Cordelia Kane moved to appoint Robinson, and Max Rotondo seconded. The motion passed with three votes in favor, no votes opposed and one abstention from Robinson; two members (John Kulp and Jared McFadden) were recorded as absent. The board noted the resignation creates one open seat and Kane said she will contact an individual who has expressed interest in serving.
The appointment followed routine business earlier in the meeting, including approval of the Feb. 19, 2026 minutes. At that earlier vote, Michael Ridgway moved and Max Rotondo seconded approval of the minutes; the board recorded 4 yes, 0 no, 0 abstain, and two absences for Kulp and McFadden.
No additional action on filling the vacant seat was taken at the meeting; the board left the timing of a formal appointment to the township.
