Elk County commissioners approve CDBG revision, rescind and reauthorize event permits

Commissioner Gebauer moved the approval and Commissioner Quesenberry seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the board approved a Downtown Decorating Committee request to place a patriotic banner on the courthouse gazebo from now through after Veterans Day. That motion also carried unanimously on a motion by Commissioner Gebauer and a second by Commissioner Quesenberry.
Commissioner M. Fritz Leeker was recorded as excused from the meeting. The minutes do not record individual roll-call vote lines; the record states that motions carried unanimously among those present.
A member of the press, Justin Felgar, asked whether the official election count was complete. Commissioner Quesenberry said certification would be conducted by the Election Board on Friday, May 22, 2026, according to the meeting record.
