The East Hampton Architecture Review Board unanimously approved several small, largely nonvisible as‑built changes for Montauk and Amagansett properties at its December meeting.
Board members voted to allow three new dark‑sky compliant gooseneck fixtures above the sign at Street Food (99 Carl Fisher Plaza in Montauk). The applicant had previously cleaned wiring on the façade to the board’s satisfaction, and the panel found the proposed fixtures appropriate for the storefront.
The board also recognized an enclosed second‑floor porch at Naturally Good (38 South Aetna Avenue, Montauk) as an as‑built condition. The applicant’s representative said the enclosure and replacement windows are minimally visible from the public right‑of‑way and match existing stucco patterns; the board approved the recognition unanimously.
A third application for minor alterations at 2178 Montauk Highway in Amagansett — combining two single units, changing a door to a window and adjusting sliders and sconces — was likewise approved without objection after the applicant’s planner and board members agreed the changes were modest and not prominently visible.
All three votes were unanimous; the board’s motions recorded the approvals and staff will issue resolutions and notify the building department where required.
