The Pipestone City Council unanimously authorized the city to pursue state and federal grant funding for a planned 80-by-80 hangar project at the municipal airport.
Mayor Delaney introduced Resolution 2025-53, saying the project will receive funds from both federal and state sources and that the state grant agreement portion "will be in the amount not to exceed $6,618.13." The council moved and approved the resolution by voice vote.
The council then considered Resolution 2025-54, a companion state grant agreement for the same hangar project; Mayor Delaney said the state grant amount for this portion "will be in the amount not to exceed $14,105.26." That resolution was likewise moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Council members noted Deb would spearhead project information and implementation tasks. Mayor Delaney said the project and grants were discussed previously and that staff will manage grant paperwork and reporting as required by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Both resolutions were approved without recorded roll-call tallies; the council confirmed motions carried by voice vote.
