At the Dec. 10 meeting the Zoning Commission accepted a petition from Planning Director Waleed Al Bakri to delete and replace section 5f and amend section 2b of the zoning regulations to create a downtown transit‑oriented development (TOD) district. The commission voted to refer the petition to the Planning Commission for recommendation, to notify required surrounding communities and to schedule a public hearing for Jan. 28, 2025.
Director Al Bakri made the referral and the commission approved the procedural motion by voice vote. Materials and public‑hearing instructions will be posted on the City of Danbury website.
