Board accepts CSA proposal and schedules full contract negotiations for mid‑June

Board members explained that this year’s bargaining opens the full three‑year contract — meaning the district and unions can negotiate all contract articles rather than only a narrow set of items — and that both the CSA proposal and the district’s opening proposal were accepted as the basis for bargaining. Trustees moved, seconded and approved the action without recorded opposition.
Board members did not amend the motion or place conditions on the negotiations during the meeting. Trustees said they look forward to proceeding to bargaining sessions on the dates identified and to keeping the board apprised of progress through regular updates.
