Isabella County board approves $2.31M in invoices, updates opioid-advisory bylaws and OKs inmate medical contracts

Commissioner Steve Swaney moved the ratification.
The board also approved amendments to the Opioid Advisory Committee bylaws and authorized the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign the revised bylaws. Commissioner Steven Weber moved that amendment; the motion carried unanimously.
On health services for the county jail, the board approved the Inmate Medical Program Proposal and authorized the Board Chairperson to sign related contracts with Sweet Water Medical and Mental Health and Psychiatric Services. The motion was moved by Commissioner Tobin Hope and seconded by Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski; it passed with unanimous Yeas recorded.
The board approved a contract with BS&A Software to transition county systems from a local Net installation to BS&A Cloud and authorized the Board Chairperson to sign the agreement pending legal review. Commissioner Bob Campbell moved the contract approval; the vote was unanimous.
Administrator/Controller Brian Smith reported that the Commission on Aging completed an audit with zero findings, describing it as a "perfect audit." Commissioner James Moreno provided a brief summary of items he took away from the Michigan Association of Counties Legislative Conference.
