Harford County staff reported May 6 that the McComas Village rehabilitation project, funded by the Harford County African American Heritage Grant, requested no disbursement for Quarter 14 (Jan. 1–March 31) and must be completed by June 30.
Jacob Bensen, Harford County staff member, told the Historic Preservation Commission that no major project goals were completed during the quarter and that he had been told the project will be completed before the June 30 deadline. Commission member Art Benser asked about project completeness and Bensen reiterated he had received notice the work would be finished.
The report functions as a monitoring update rather than a formal action: the transcript records no approved disbursement, no revised schedule submitted to the commission and no public comment. The commission did not take additional action at the meeting; staff follow-up was noted as the next step to confirm completion and any future disbursement.
The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
