Bridgewater cultural council welcomes new member Terry Linde; Nora resigns

The Bridgewater Cultural Council welcomed Terry Linde as its newest council member and noted that Nora has resigned. Council member Theo introduced Terry to the group, saying the council "wanna do is welcome, Terry Linde as our newest, council member." Terry replied that she was glad to join and said she had already logged into the cultural council website.

Josh reported that Nora messaged on Zoom and intended to resign once a new council member joined. Josh also told members the council’s public-facing member list was pulled from old data during a website change and that members such as Jane and Terry may need to register or update their profiles on the Mass Cultural Council site so their information appears correctly.

Members discussed logistics and scheduling. Theo and others agreed evening meetings are generally preferable; Josh warned that the town is reducing public office hours to four days a week and plans to limit meeting nights to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to match staffing. "That is our intention is to reduce it down... to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday," Josh said. The council set its next meeting for Wednesday, July 17 at 7 p.m.

The council also discussed using photos from the upcoming Bridgewater Juneteenth celebration for outreach materials and a short Town Council presentation. Theo asked members to provide pictures and said he will help assemble materials for the presentation.

Next steps: Members will update profiles on the Mass Cultural Council website, coordinate photos for outreach, and reconvene July 17 at 7 p.m.
