Trustee Yoska presented the proposal, noting a lack of convenient pickup spaces north of Maine. Staff explained the downtown 15-minute spaces have largely been self-policing and discussed using flashers or hazard indicators so short-term users are visibly identifiable. The chief was asked to have patrols check for misuse and staff will add signage indicating the restriction; after 6 p.m. the spaces will revert to regular parking.
