The Onslow County Planning Board on May 7 unanimously recommended approval of a rezoning for a property on Lakeside Drive to allow commercial use of an existing storefront.
Staff presented the PREZ-2026-00003 application; applicant Jerry Mitchell said he is requesting the rezoning so he can operate a business out of the existing storefront. Roger Brown moved to recommend approval and Brandon Howard seconded; the motion passed by unanimous vote. The Board also approved the consistency statement.
The planning staff will forward the Board's recommendation to the Board of Commissioners for final action.
