Cookeville City Council on June 4 adopted a resolution honoring Judy Jennings for more than two decades of service on the municipal planning commission and the historic zoning commission.
Staff recited Jennings' record of service, noting a 2004 appointment and 22 years of service; council members offered tributes to her institutional knowledge and leadership. The council approved the resolution unanimously.
To fill the vacancy created by Jennings' resignation, staff recommended appointing Bob Fahlhaber to the planning commission to serve the remainder of the term; the council approved the appointment (5-0). Staff also recommended Kaye Starkweather to fill Jennings' seat on the historic zoning commission through April 4, 2029; council confirmed that appointment (5-0).
Council members praised Jennings' service and thanked department staff for coordinating the appointments.
