Planning board reviews calendar, previews major zoning referrals and readies alternate appointment

At the end of its April 2 meeting the Greenburgh Planning Board reviewed its spring and summer calendar, discussed member absences and quorum risks, and previewed significant zoning text and map amendments staff expects to refer to the board in the coming weeks.
Membership and schedule: Staff said Miss Anderson (joining by Zoom) is an interested candidate for an alternate position and an interview with the town board may be scheduled soon; if appointed, Aaron said Weinberg would be elevated to a full member. The board asked members to send known scheduling conflicts to staff; several potential July and August scheduling permutations were discussed to avoid quorum problems for large incoming projects.
Zoning pipeline and member briefings: Aaron previewed an upcoming staff-initiated package of zoning text and map amendments that will require referral under the town code and include a proposed new zoning district. He said staff will distribute a summary of proposed changes ahead of the formal referral and offer small-group briefings (no more than three members at a time) so members can review materials before full-board consideration.
Next steps: Staff will circulate meeting-date reminders and a bulleted summary of zoning changes in advance. The board indicated informal, internal recognition of a vice-chair role for Mister Pine while reserving a public announcement for a future meeting.
