Pasco police will present a proposed update to the interlocal agreement (ILA) that created the Tri Cities Metro Drug Task Force at the June 8 workshop, the city said. Communications coordinator Alyssa Warner said the task force has operated for decades but that recent changes to how it is funded require an update to the ILA to reflect an updated budget and to formalize other recent adjustments.
Warner said the city council will need to sign off on the revised agreement for Pasco to remain part of the task force. The preview did not include the proposed budget amounts or the specific operational changes; those details are expected in the police presentation and agenda materials.
