Wakulla 4‑H launches 'Prevention Starts With Me' campaign after town hall on substance use

"On May 16, we hosted a town hall focused on substance use prevention and healthy decision making," Zach said, adding the event brought together 23 youth and 15 adults and included representatives from the DEA and local public‑safety and health partners.
Zach said the organization launched a campaign called "Prevention Starts With Me" to empower young people to promote healthy choices through peer‑to‑peer outreach in clubs and community groups, community awareness events, partnerships with law enforcement and health providers, youth leadership opportunities and a community pledge banner.
She thanked club leaders, her mother and the 4‑H director and asked commissioners for continued support of 4‑H programming countywide.
