Select Board welcomes promoted chief assessor Mariah

The Select Board introduced Mariah as Foxborough's newly promoted chief assessor during the May 26 meeting. Mariah told the board she started in municipal government in 2020 in Blackstone, worked in assessment full time for about a year and a half there, then joined Foxborough and has worked under the former chief assessor, Tom Welsh. "I'm the chief assessor for the town of Foxborough," she said, and board members welcomed her promotion and noted she will return for the tax recap hearing later in the year.
The board thanked Mariah and wished her well in the new role.
