Alvin ISD superintendent invites community to meet-and-greet, urges survey responses

The superintendent of Alvin ISD, speaking in their first week on the job, invited families, staff and community members to a meet-and-greet and urged residents to complete a community survey about district priorities.

"I wholeheartedly believe that every student in Alvin ISD has the potential to succeed and leave our schools equipped to pursue their dreams and build a bright future," the superintendent said, describing recent campus visits and meetings with district employees that shaped their early priorities.

The superintendent said building strong relationships and open communication will be central to the district’s work, and asked community members to participate in a "Sundays with the Soup" meet-and-greet scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at JP Hensler College and Career Academy. The message also included an appeal for residents and staff to complete a community survey to share what they value and suggestions for improvement; the transcript did not include a link or deadline for that survey.

District leaders said the initial outreach is intended to listen and gather community input as the superintendent begins setting priorities.
