Community Development Director Bill Cobabe described a minor plat amendment for the Moody Acres Subdivision that adjusts several lot lines, aligns a planned right-of-way along Coach Lane, and preserves a two-lot configuration. Staff recommended approval because the change is necessary for orderly development and cannot be processed as a simple lot-line adjustment due to the existing recorded plat.
Applicant Dean Williams explained the amendment would reduce his mother’s lot from about three-quarters of an acre to one-half acre and said both lots are being prepared for sale. No public comments were received during the hearing. Commissioners asked clarifying questions and confirmed the final plat must be recorded with Tooele County and comply with city standards.
John Montgomery moved to recommend approval to City Council with conditions requiring recordation and required signatures; Gary Merrill seconded the motion and the commission voted unanimously to recommend approval. The Planning Commission’s recommendation will be transmitted to City Council for final action.
