The Community Preservation Committee voted to accept its FY27 budget estimate at the Feb. 12 meeting.
A committee member reviewed the numbers, saying the CPC’s baseline is 3% of the estimated levy. The presentation listed an estimated state match of $300,000 and projected revenue of $1,931,010; the member noted about 10% of that revenue must be allocated among the three statutory buckets and that the committee has estimated undesignated reserves in excess of $2,000,000.
The committee voted to accept the budget as presented and asked staff to obtain certified balances after the close of the fiscal year so final accounting can be completed.
What happens next: staff will confirm the certified balances after fiscal year close and report back to the CPC; the committee said it will use the certified figures to finalize allocations.
