Finance Committee approves road contracts, a task order for Hurricane Ida work, and accepts jail e-cigarette system bid

The Finance Committee, chaired by Juror Scotty Robinson, met Feb. 22 and approved payment of claims for Jan. 21–Feb. 17 on the recommendation of Treasurer Cammack. The committee accepted a task order for Hunt Guillot & Associates related to Hurricane Ida recovery work.
Engineer Crosby presented bid results for the Lakefront Circle improvements project; the lowest conforming bid was from CW&W Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $185,656. A motion to award the project to CW&W Contractors, Inc. was offered by Lonnie Hudson and seconded by Scotty Robinson and carried without opposition.
The committee also approved Change Order No. 1 for the Rowland Road project on the engineer's recommendation. Regarding correctional facility procurement, Mr. Mitchell reported the lowest conforming bid for OCC electronic nicotine delivery systems was from Boothkicker Technologies for $112,500; the committee accepted the bid. Captain Jerkins with OCC discussed generators for the facility, and the committee authorized the engineer to advertise for bids for the generator project.
All committee actions reported to the full Jury were later ratified without opposition when the regular meeting reconvened.
