County Administrator Hank Solowiej said the evaluation was completed by Project Engineer Matt Rogers and Transportation Planner Kevin Cannon and noted the current project timeline will make completing projects before year-end very tight. Solowiej told commissioners that Huron Township did not submit a funding request.
Commissioner Old raised concern that the current rankings, if left unchanged, would leave Oxford Township without any funded projects and asked whether higher-ranked projects could be scaled back to allow at least one resurfacing job in Oxford Township to proceed. Solowiej said he would relay the request to Rogers and Cannon for follow-up.
The discussion centered on scoring, scheduling and the practical challenge of completing projects within the calendar year; no formal vote to change the rankings was recorded at the meeting.
