The Edgar County Board on Monday reappointed several local trustees to fire protection districts and accepted related oaths and bonds.
Chair (speaker 1) moved to reappoint Susan Sexton for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2026; Carl moved and Dan seconded and the board approved her reappointment. The board then acted to reappoint Scott Ingram as trustee of the Paris Community Fire Protection District (term to May 2029); the board later accepted his oath and bond.
The board also approved a reappointment for William McCord as trustee of the Metcalf Fire Protection District and accepted the oath and bond of William Ford as trustee for the Metcalfe Fire Protection District after motions, seconds and roll-call votes.
Each appointment was handled as a discrete resolution and recorded with a vote; the clerk called the roll for the oath-and-bond acceptances following the motions. The board did not record debate on the appointments beyond brief remarks thanking incumbents for their service.
