The board approved the appointment and, in the record, a board member said Roloff’s term will expire Aug. 31, 2025.
On the memorial, the board adopted criteria for inclusion on the town’s new memorial: nominees must already be approved for the county memorial and must have a nexus to the town — that is, they must have lived, worked or volunteered in the town on 9/11. The board also said it would appoint a three-person committee to make determinations under the criteria.
