Board renews revaluation-services contract with GAR Associates through 2029

The Town Board on Sept. 4 approved an agreement with GAR Associates to provide revaluation services for the town from Jan. 1, 2025 through Jan. 1, 2029.
Meredith said GAR handled the original revaluation and helps the assessor’s office maintain assessments at market rate; continuing the relationship, she said, contributes to equity among homeowners and reduces refund and workload burdens for staff. Board members praised the firm’s experience and said regular revaluation (every four years with interim spot checks) helps keep assessments aligned with market sales.
A council member moved and the board approved a resolution authorizing the town administrator to execute the GAR Associates agreement.
