Neighbor questions privacy as ARB refers White Road second-story addition to planning board

Architect Yore Biba described a second-story addition and foyer expansion at 45 White Road that would add living space, a primary bedroom suite and new roof and siding (James Hardie siding, Marvin Elevate windows). He said the design will add a mudroom and a powder room and that exterior materials will include black-frame windows with white trim.
Neighbor Diane Majore of 43 White Road asked whether windows on the left side would change and how the addition would affect privacy for her kitchen and dining room. Biba replied that the plan keeps the same number of windows on that elevation (three narrow egress-size windows) and that the applicant will add screening along the property line — including planting larger evergreen screening — to preserve privacy.
The ARB closed the public hearing and voted to refer application 26-3145 to the planning board with a recommendation to approve as submitted; the planning board and town consulting engineer will review details such as screening and exact window dimensions.
