The Greenburgh Planning Board voted July 2 to waive referral of a minor wetlands/watercourse application for 185 Prospect Avenue and to allow the town wetlands inspector, Mr. Britton, to issue the decision.
Town staff told the board the work is limited to trenching for a pipe and installation of rear‑yard dry wells to carry basement waterproofing discharge; the disturbance falls below the local thresholds for a “minor” project (under 5,000 square feet of disturbance and under 100 cubic yards of excavation). Staff said the applicant plans silt fencing between the work and the adjacent watercourse and that the Conservation Advisory Council recommended approval without special conditions.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the Manhattan Park Brook tributary and staff said the Bureau of Engineering has already been notified and that Public Works would be alerted as well. A motion to waive referral and permit the wetlands inspector to rule was moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
The decision allows the wetlands inspector to review the permit application and issue the town’s determination. The board recorded that one member was participating remotely and non‑voting for this item. No appeal or appeal timing was discussed at the meeting.
