Forest City Council green-lights software updates, construction pay request and website contract

At the May 4 meeting the Forest City Council approved several administrative and infrastructure items intended to support city operations.
Council approved a recommended update to the EEOS/EECS software to help schedule and document preventative maintenance in line with NFPA 70B guidance. The motion to approve the software update was made by Dan Davis and seconded by Marcia Tweeten and carried unanimously.
Council considered Pay Request No. 18 from Staab Construction for ongoing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) improvements and approved the payment. The minutes record Karl Wooldridge moved the payment and Dan Davis seconded; the motion carried unanimously. (The minutes do not list the dollar amount for Pay Request No. 18.)
The council approved a Municipal One proposal for new website software, including agenda-development tools, text/email notices and recreation sign-up features, for $13,080. The motion to approve the Municipal One contract was made by Karl Wooldridge and seconded by Nicolas Determann; the vote was unanimous.
Council reviewed and approved the updated 2026 City Officials and Appointments with corrections to Carly Carper's term expiration and to Evan Fritz's listed business affiliation. A payroll change notice increasing Water Foreman Tyler Thompson's pay to $38.36 per hour effective June 1, 2026 was acknowledged (no action required). Staff provided operational reports that required no council action.
The meeting closed after a public comment from resident Galen Steinberg and a unanimous motion to adjourn.
