The Lower Township Council approved its consent agenda on June 1, including the minutes of May 18, 2026, resolutions numbered 2026-206 through 2026-217, and the first reading of Ordinance 2026-11, which authorizes execution of an offer to convey temporary work-area easements to the United States Army Corps of Engineers for the Cape May Canal project.
A motion to approve the consent agenda was moved, seconded and approved by voice/roll call: Council members Conrad, Wareham and Roy and Mayor Frank Sippel voted in favor; Deputy Mayor Coombs was absent. The ordinance will be scheduled for second reading and public hearing on June 15, 2026.
No substantive debate on those consent items occurred during the meeting; the council moved on to regular business following the vote.
