At its June 4 meeting, the Randolph County Board of Education approved a series of routine motions by voice vote, including a fiscal-year 2026 budget amendment and multiple personnel and transportation items.
The board approved the FY2026 budget amendment (Item 7) as printed. It also approved a supplemental bus driver duties job description (Item 9) to allow certain teachers to drive regular routes; allowed the Randolph County Cooperative Extension to use a district bus for a 4‑H trip to Columbiana, June 10–12, 2026 (Item 10); and approved up to 172 additional work hours for transportation employee Michael Hill from May 22 through July 31 (Item 11).
The board approved paying bus drivers $100 per day for the full‑day summer reading program (Item 12); approved a one‑year joint purchasing agreement with the Alabama CNP Cooperative for supplemental grocery items and supplies effective July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 (Item 13); and approved the personnel action sheet (Item 14); Chair indicated Paul made the motion and Daniel seconded for the personnel action sheet.
