Members discussed scheduling complications: one board member said they have a county committee conflict on the prescheduled 8 a.m. start for the August meeting and suggested the meeting could start at 8 a.m. if the only business is to seat new members. The board noted that mayoral appointments and municipal transition timing (some actions typically occur in January) could affect continuity and asked staff to clarify parameters for seat transitions.
