OCOEE, Fla. — The Ocoee City Commission on June 2 approved a midyear budget amendment for fiscal year 2025–26 after a second reading and a public hearing that drew no public comment.
Finance Director Weber told the commission the ordinance is a "budget true up" and that it "has no impact to the general fund balance." The ordinance was read into the record as "Ordinance number 2026‑blank," covering adjustments to appropriations for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1, 2025, and ends Sept. 30, 2026.
Mayor Johnson opened and then closed the public hearing after no member of the public requested to speak. Commissioner Wilson moved to approve the ordinance; Commissioner Oliver seconded the motion. The commission voted to approve the ordinance unanimously.
Why it matters: The amendment aligns departmental and project spending with current revenues and anticipated expenses for the fiscal year. City staff said the changes are an internal housekeeping and cash-flow measure rather than a change to tax rates or the general fund reserve.
