The board introduced Ashley Walden as the city's new recreation facility manager.
"I'm Ashley Walden. I am the recreation facility manager," she said, adding she has been in the position just over a month and a half and previously worked in Okinawa, Japan as an aquatics program manager overseeing multiple installations. Board members said Walden will oversee youth programming, summer camps and aquatic operations and noted several programs kicking off including summer camps and a teen leadership program.
Walden and staff said they will continue coordinating program launches and report back to the board as new activities begin.
